The first-year outside hitter, born in Moosehorn, Manitoba and a graduate of Ashern Central School, led the Rebels to two 3-0 wins over the Assiniboine Community College Cougars last weekend, totalling 11 kills, 12 digs, and five solo blocks. With the back-to-back wins, the Rebels (11-5) clinched the second seed heading into the conference playoffs this weekend.

"Sara's passing and defense have been instrumental to the success of the team this season," said head coach Dan McGregor. "She is a determined and passionate player with a strong desire to improve and brings a positive attitude to all practices and games."

The Rebels women's volleyball team will host the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers in the conference semi-finals on Saturday, February 24 at 4:00.
