Lucas Pappel is the MCAC's Male Athlete of the Week (Week 19)

The fifth-year 6'0 setter, a graduate of Steinbach Regional Secondary School, finished off the regular season strong with 53 assists, eight digs, two blocks, and two aces in a 3-1 win over the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers. The win vaulted the Pilots into first place in the conference heading into the 2018 MCAC Volleyball Final Fours.

"Lucas has been one of our most consistent players this year and has continued to improve and show a willingness to learn well into his last season," said head coach Scott Masterson. "His leadership and competitiveness have proven invaluable for our team this year."

"Lucas is a pleasure to coach and we will look to him to continue leading us into what will hopefully be an MCAC championship," Masterson continued.

The Pilots men's volleyball team will take on the Red River College Rebels in the conference semi-finals on Saturday, February 24 at noon.
